The Republicans' New Found Affinity for Civil Discourse

I heard it first from Adam Kinzinger (R-IL11) at two separate town hall meetings where he asked for civil discourse on multiple occasions at each meeting, now I have heard it from Paul Ryan (R-WI1) as he asked for civil discourse over debt ceiling negotiations. Of course this came on the same day that Bernard Goldberg, former journalist and Fox News denizen puked out the filthy racist lie that Barack Obama was elected because he was black, rather than in spite of it. Clearly they intend to save arguing in favor of their treason by quieting the anger that they provoke with appeals for civil discourse as their surrogates on their propaganda outlet and elsewhere engage in the foulest sort of intemperate sedition that their warped minds can formulate.

Was there enough civility in my pointing that out to keep with Republican desires?

They wish to escape the shouting that they provoked two years ago with the TEA Party as they advance their plans to destroy the nation.

They already have provided incentives to destroy the economy by sending manufacturing operations offshore, and continue to resist any disincentive for that offshoring, or incentives to return that economic activity to these shores, driving millions of Americans out of work.

They have undermined the democratic traditions of the United States with election fraud that is perpetrated on an industrial scale.

They have worked towards bankrupting the nation with a Medicare Part D law that mandates excessive spending by forbidding Medicare from leveraging its economies of scale in negotiating drug prices with the pharmaceutical industry.

They have caused the death of more than 4,000 Americans with an unnecessary and illegal conflict in Iraq that they lied the nation into, and an initially justified conflict in Afghanistan that they prosecuted incompetently, and then ignored until any chance of success in that theater had passed beyond our grasp. Aside from the macabre cost of these conflicts in terms of American blood and broken lives, they have squandered untold hundreds of billions and trillions of dollars.

The Wall Street alumni in government have, in cooperation with the Federal Reserve, siphoned off trillions of taxpayer dollars to make the Wall Street banks whole and buy off their transnational colleagues cooperation after a near worldwide economic collapse that they certainly took part in causing and may actually have engineered.

These ends have been accomplished in large measure with the tacit cooperation of their opponents in government who have stayed justice for political considerations.

Now, with a history of holding up small business as their ridiculously inapplicable example for government, and alternating that with the equally imbecilic analogy of the domestic kitchen table as an example for the conduct of government, they are advocating the deadbeat antitheses of these analogies by incurring the default of the United States of America.

As they conduct their economic war against the United States they believe that they can evade responsibility for their treason by admonishing us, their victims, to accept these developments with equanimity. All the while they continue in their attempt to make the result of their treason fait accompli, hoping that no one will raise a voice in protest as they do.

We cannot allow these criminals the luxury of a quiet and secure environment to commit their crimes.

It is time to recognize their crimes. Let no person continue to believe that they are unseen. It is time to call out their treason. We must make it clear that the seriousness of their crime is understood, and we must work to bring every American to that understanding.

It is time to raise our voices.
