Yes the biblical golden calf is still worshiped today. It is as real and as prominent as any sym BULL of whats wrong with society as anything that I can think of. Though it's not found in any wilderness unless you call the Wall Street Jungle a Wilderness. Today the biggest religion in the world is not Christianity, Buddhism or any other ism. It's the extreme worship of money led by the high priests of The Federal Reserve and Goldman Sachs. The purveyors of the extreme ponzi scheme of unlimited growth and greed is good.
If the golden calf in it's present form as a charging bull symbolizes anything, it stands for too big to fail, too big to be punished and too big for their britches. Where are the protesters supporting the people camped out on Wall Street. The shock troops of a new way of thinking and acting?

Where are the people calling their congress critters and demanding the punishment of Goldmen Sachs, BofA and the other causes of the various bubble bursts that have left our nation jobless, falling apart and the poor under attack?
OH THAT' RIGHT.  YOUR CONGRESS CRITTERS WENT ALONG WITH AND BAILED OUT THE CROOKS WHO CREATED AND SOLD WORTHLESS PAPER AND CALLED IT AAA RATED DERIVATIVES.
Have you noticed that even local governments are in league with and owned by the Banksters? Until we stand with the students protesting on Wall Street it will continue. Untill it's not just a few students protesting on Wall Street but every day people protesting on Main Street and whereever Regional Branches of big banks and Wall Street Representatives are found. Unless we camp out in our local, state and Federal Government and other institutions protesting like the Egyptians did at Tahrir Square, we will continue to have corrupt government, continued loss of jobs and homes and continued lies about whats good for Wall Street is good for the economy.

I repeat. We have to melt down the Golden Calf and stow it away with all the other wrong ideas consigned to the junk bin of history and fable.
