I'm making Turkey and stuffing. Researching stuffing recipes. I'm known for my stuffing, but it's been a few years. I'm including bread, onion, celery, carrots, egg, butter, mushrooms, pineapple and dried cherries, plus some scrapings from the neck, cooked in the chicken broth-- for some of it. But I'm also making some without the eggs, chicken broth and meat, for some vegans who will tolerate butter. And listening to Christmas music. Using my smart speaker: play Rhythm and blues Christmas Music, play Gospel Christmas music., Play Spanish Christmas-- only one chimes song. Play Christmas Choir music-- nice Gregorian, Play ManHeim Steamroller, Play Modern Christmas Choir, music, (meh), Jamaican Christmas music, (most not Jamaican) Play Broadway Christmas. Play Joni Mitchell-- plays Wish I had a river, Linda Ronstadt (great stuff) Smokey Robinson (nice collection,) John Coltrane, Christmas Folk music,( Dan Fogelberg's soundtrack from 1972 is nice, Ray LaMontaigne is a nice discovery) 60s rock
Irish Christmas, but I get bagpipes. They're Scottish, aren't they? Then Wexford Carol, from songs of joy and peace by Allison Krause, Yo Yo Ma and Natalie McMaster comes on. It's haunting a beautiful.
Tried Christmas Music from England, Jewish Christmas music (got lame Chanukah music) Aaron Neville, Disney, but no luck.
Favorites so far: Irish, Folk, Linda Ronstadt, Broadway, Smokey Robinson, 60s rock Christmas,
And will try Celine Dionne, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Lumineers, Rolling Stones, , Miles Davis, heavy metal, blues, , 70s rock 80s rock, billboard hits, guitar, harp, saxophone, Nat King Cole, 40's, 30's 20's early American.
