First, a note from Beto, today:

Stephen, Wrote this from seat 9B on the United flight back to Dallas from Houston. We then drove from DFW airport to a big rally in Irving, our 58th early voting event over the first 9 days of polls being open.

The turnout and the energy was off the charts. That also reflects what we're seeing at the polls. Not only is Texas far surpassing turnout from the last midterm election, we are on track to potentially exceed Presidential election year levels.

From a state that has historically ranked 50th in voter turnout, that's huge. And it means that all of the hard work -- all of the miles, all of the town halls, all of the doors, all of the phone calls, all of the volunteers we've connected with the voters of Texas -- it's all paying off.

A lot of these voters who are shattering the turnout records are voting for the first time. You helped us reach them and get them registered. A lot of them are voters who have never voted in a midterm in their life. You got them off the sidelines and into the game. Some are Republicans who will be voting for the first Democrat in their life. Others have dropped out of voting altogether until you gave us the resources to reach them and give them a reason to join us.

With 6 days to go, I want your help to finish as strong as possible. There are a lot more voters for us to reach.

Keep me up on the air so everyone watching TV sees our message. Keep me in front of people as we travel the counties of Texas. Help me share the urgency of the election of our lifetime with everyone in Texas, wherever they are -- in person, online, on the air, wherever -- we've got to do everything we can to invite everyone in Texas to decide the future of this country.

We're almost there -- let's give it all we've got and win this. Grateful to you for making this possible,

"What happens far too often is programmers can be disdainful toward people that aren't as familiar with tech as we are, which is why you have this attitude of 'blame the user' if you can't figure it out, which is objectively wrong," says software engineer and Gamergate figure Brianna Wu, who lost her bid for Congress in 2018 but is planning to run again in 2020 in Massachusetts. "I don't think you should have to be computer-literate to have your vote counted," Wu says. "That's a false choice. It's going to eliminate a lot of people who need their voice heard.

I sent this letter to the editor to a few Texas newspapers. Sometimes it is amazing how much you can say when you are forced to keep it under 150 words!

"Vote flipping in Texas could not be more serious. Austin's Secretary of State and the manufacturers blame it on "voter errors"; others blame it on old voting machines; the real blame should go to "Voting Flip Chip Installers," who open voting machines and insert flip chips.

This warrants an investigation by the US Justice Department, as well as Federal Court lawsuits. This must not go unattended, or all of Beto's and his team's hard work goes down the drain. This reminds me of New York State purging 1/3 million voters in the 2016 primary, which should have been done over. NY's power structure treated this as "business as usual." and that fatally flawed NY Primary got crammed down New Yorkers' throats. Beto's legal team could get a Federal Judge's order to do it all over, if vote flipping proves to be increasingly rampant. No Texan should ignore this alarming matter."
