The Vatican was built on the site of the ancient temple of Helios, the sun god Mithras. Sunday was kept holy in honor of Mithra, and the 25 th December was observed as his birthday, the Natalis Invicti, the rebirth of the winter-sun. Virtually all of the elements of Traditional Christian rituals, from miter, wafer, water baptism, and alter were adopted from the Mithra and earlier pagan mystery religions. Mithraic worship at one time covered a large portion of the ancient world. The Messianic idea originated in ancient Persia and this is where the Jewish and Christian concepts of a Savior came from.
Roman Catholics converted the worldwide pagan system and pagans were allowed to keep their old gods under new names. So pagan festivals, rituals, ceremony and traditions are unknowingly worshiping the dragon, rather than the risen Son of God. There are many similarities between ancient sun worship and Catholicism. In Chaldean (or Babylonian) times, the head of the church was the representative of the dragon god Dagon. He was considered to be infallible, and was addressed as "Your Holiness." Nations conquered by Babylon had to kiss the ring and slipper of the Babylonian god-king. The Babylonian system of worship has essentially been maintained to this day. The ancient Chaldeans worshiped a pantheon of male and female gods representing a sun (dragon) god. Sun worship has been preserved for thousands of years and still forms the basis of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Catholicism. The names of the gods have changed, but the system of worship is the same.
Sun gods are serpents or dragons worshiped in Temples of the Sun. Sun gods were not human, blond, and blue eyed. There aren't any serpent-temples in which the rites of the sun were not celebrated. In the Caaba of Mecca there is a black stone, said to have fallen from heaven. Caaba may be a corruption of Ca-ab-ir, which means "the temple of ABIR", the solar serpent. Abir is also connected with Abrasax (Basilisk) the Gnostic solar deity associated with Yahweh, Ra, Mithras and the Celtic Belenus.

The dragon he painted being symbolic of ancient Pagan Rome. The word Vatican comes from Old Latin 'vatis' = prophetic & 'can' = serpent/dragon.
When Constantine's father died in 306, Constantine was proclaimed Emperor by his Dacian/Sarmation elite cavalry. Constantine adopted the Chi-Rho insignia while he was in Britain as it represented the Pendragon kings well known in the pagan world. Rho stood for 'Pater' (the Egyptian god Ptah), which is 'Father.' Together they consequently make 'Shining Father' (Dyaus Pitar) - which later became the Roman 'Jupiter' (Hu Ptah=father sun) - the Roman version of the Greek father-god Zeus. According to Sir Flinders Petrie - the Egyptologist - the monogram Chi-Rho was the emblem of the Egyptian god, Horus, thousands of years before Christ and is therefore a link between Horus the savior, and Christ the savior.
The entrances of Egyptian Temples were decorated with the hieroglyph of the Circle and the Serpent. The Sacred Serpents were on the Uraeus coiled upon the foreheads of the Pharaohs, Queens, Priestesses and Priests. In the Ancient Mystery Schools the Serpent-entwined Staff of Hermes was the Symbol of Healing and is the emblem of the modern medical profession.
Saturn overthrew Ophion the first of the Titan gods to rule Olympus. Simultaneously Ophion's wife Eurynome was cast down by Chronus' wife Rhea. This links Saturn with Ophion and the Greek Orphites who adopted their rites from Sun worshipers from Egypt, Sumeria, Babylon and India where the priests styled themselves Dragons and Serpents. The Orpheus religion is also the fish religion.
ICHTHUS is the main symbol of Ancient Christianity. ICHTHUS even today means Jesus Christ Son of God Savior ICHTHUS is also the main title of Orpheus. John (the Baptist) is short for IOOANNES, which is the name of the Babylonian Fish-God. The ancient symbol of the Orphic Mysteries was the serpent-entwined egg which signified Cosmos as encircled by the fiery Creative Spirit. The egg represents the soul of the philosopher; the serpent, the Mysteries.
Ancient Christianity used the symbols of the Orpheus religion everywhere: Art, hymns, graves, in the catacombs, ivories and gems. Many times the symbol of the Good Shepherd was used on Christian items and also Orpheus or better: Christ playing on his lyre or on his flute surrounded by animals.
