He started out with 100 to one odds in a country whose Labor Party appeared to have been permanently tamed by Margaret Thatcher back in the nineteen eighties.

The media notes that Labor's transformation aligns it with Greece's Syriza Party, Spain's Podemos and Italy's multi-faceted left. But Britain's left will have a bigger impact on world politics if Corbyn succeeds in his determination to take the country out of NATO.

Not to mention if his victory galvanizes Bernie Sanders supporters in the US.
