States Rights - And Wrongs!

So, Haley Barbour, the man who is trying to get Republicans elected as governors of all the states he can, has commented on Republican Governor Bob McDonnell's recent comment. Bob McDonnell proclaimed April "Confederate History Month" in Virginia. But he left out the fact that one of the biggest items in a Confederate State was their desire to secede, for Slavery rights!

McDonnell tried to back out of what he had said, but Haley Barbour said the omission was "just a nit." My question is whether you can recognize the history of the Confederacy and not also remember that those states were seceding in favor of slaveholder rights. Is that really just a nit?

That's about as clear as the Tea Party people marching on Washington and Boston before that, demanding that the economy get better and that the government get out of their lives. My question on that front is where the heck were they during the eight years of the Bush Administration? Bush and his cronies put our economy in the dumpster, but those Tea Party people, especially Sarah--I can see Russia--Palin were terribly quiet during those years.

Now they want everyone to believe that it happened because of Democrats. Probably happened in a worm hole, from the time President Obama was elected until the time he took office. Those three months or so is when it all happened.

Typical Republican Hypocrisy and dishonesty! They still haven't learned how to tell the country the truth! Especially Sarah Palin, who can't give a speech without looking at her notes all the time. She has learned how to lie just like the other Republican Big Liars.

Democrats are trying to build a better future for America by solving real problems. Republicans are lying to the population like they always do! Barbour even said people concerned about McDonnell's "nit" were " making a big deal out of something that doesn't matter for diddly."

Our future and the economy is not diddly. If you allow more Republicans to get into the State Houses, then more states will look like New Jersey, where the new Republican governor has shown his true colors, and the population is already tired of his calumny, dishonesty, and his being a bully to teachers, for one group, and the entire population of New Jersey in general.

I quote a recent Democratic newsletter by email: "Mitt Romney said, "the act should be repealed" and Michael Steele announced that Republicans would make "every effort" to do so. Yesterday, Rep. John Boehner said that it's still their "number one priority."

But now we're learning that their ambitions don't stop there. Last week, Newt Gingrich promised a conference of conservatives and tea partiers that Republicans "will repeal virtually everything" passed by Congressional Democrats and President Obama."

Can you see how wrong these people are? It's their country, and the items they are talking about are things that actually benefit their constituents, as well as those who are Democrats. In New Jersey, the new GOP Governor has reinstated the benefits to those earning more than $400,000 a year, and taking away the benefits for the middle and lower classes. In one swift move, he has turned the tables on things that will help people hit very hard by the economic problems that the Republicans have brought to the country.

Do not let this happen. Whatever state is your state, find the Democratic candidate, and listen to whatever that person says. Then listen to the Republican. Then do your "due diligence" and Google, or otherwise check the veracity and validity of whatever they are saying. Only then, can you vote for a candidate. I will bet you that the Truth comes from the Dems, and the Lies from the Right-Wingers and Republicans. Especially Sarah Palin.
