PENSACOLA, FL 32509 Second, the film "The Political Prosecutions of Karl Rove", which I just watched on line...OMG, it's powerful, scary, motivating, chilling, explosive... If you didn't watch it, you must! http://www.politicalprosecutions.org/ John McTiernan laid out a major program put in action to railroad and destroy Democratic politicos, many at local levels of government. It explains a lot, and the handwriting between the lines can suggest why Democrats who once had potential have sold out...like Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer and Parker Griffith. Heck, if my choice were: 1) Go to jail for "taking a bribe" or 2) Turn my back on my constituents and the tenets of my political party, you know I'd probably opt to keep my ass out of prison and maintain my political career, too. Third, the campaign to get justice from our current administration for the targeted victims of the Bush DOJ. This is a remarkable effort, and I am just thrilled to see that people like Brad Friedman and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are coming together to help Don Siegelman, Paul Minor and so many others. We cannot let Barack Obama and Eric Holder sweep this issue under the rug. We CAN'T!!! It's all coming together in our favor now. Do we make phone calls in conjunction with the internet blitz? Do we picket in front of courthouses? What should we do to keep this alive and get positive action from the administration? And fourth. After viewing McTiernan's film (I am so glad he made it!), I am struck by the fact that all the other issues we invest ourselves in pale in comparison to the issue of excising the cancer that still dwells in the DOJ, both by way of attorneys and judges. How can we ever hope to gain single-payer healthcare or prevent the stealing of elections or stop the raping of our finances...unless we can expose and prosecute the vermin who have co-opted our system of government? The press is for the most part in their pockets, and the Rovians have intimidated, prosecuted or run out of town significant, good Democrats who were in the position to make the kind of changes we desperately need in this country. The time to take back our country is NOW! It starts with Don Siegelman and Paul Minor!!! And it keeps rolling. Power to the people!
