Meet Saul Anuzis - a nice guy, or so they say. He ran Michigan's GOP for years, perhaps effectively. He branched out online and revamped how the Republicans do their business in the motor state. And now, after leaving his former post to try and become the RNC Chairman's post in 2009, he'd like the beleaguered Michael Steele's position, please.

Should he have it? He seems harmless enough for a Republican. He couldn't be any better or worse that Steele, whom he claims is a friend, surely?

Of course, he's the one who said that his party should take every opportunity to claim that President Obama's pro-corporate, barely-left-of-center economic policies somehow amounted to "economic fascism." He did try to ameliorate his rhetoric by saying "You've got to be careful using the term "economic fascism' in the right way, so it doesn't come off as extreme." But that didn't stop him and his fellow-travelers from milking that extremely poison cow as hard and often as they could. That it played right into the hands of a certain Tea Party, which apparently takes lots of toxic white sludge with its namesake, goes without saying.

Cue November 2nd 2010 - we all know how that turned out.

But a closer look at Mr. Anuzis reveals that he may have some firsthand experience with actual fascism, of the racialist kind, no less. For a few years he has been buddies with a well-known, right-wing, White Separatist activist by the name of Kyle Bristow - former head of Michigan State University's Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)

Frequent readers of the rANT Farm will surely remember Mr. Bristow. He rocketed to controversial prominence by getting the Southern Poverty Law Center to declare MSU YAF a hate group, back in 2007. At the time he threatened to sue the SPLC for libel, but legal action was somehow never forthcoming. Perhaps that was because even a casual glance at MSU YAF's blog, the Spartan Spectator, could confirm that Bristow and company were, indeed, a sorry bunch of haters - gladly $http://www.opednews.com/populum/#!tting on Blacks, Gays, American Indians, Muslims, Jews... even Australian Aborigines (as our friends at YAF Watch have dutifully chronicled) They palled around with Nick Griffin of the formerly Whites-only British National Party, anti-Islam MSU Professor Indrik Wichman, and Canadian Neo-Nazi Paul Fromm.

And for a time, hardly a week went by when the Spectator didn't offer up some horrifying gem of racialist or at least phobic idiocy, all washed down with constant counter-condemnations of the SPLC and YAFwatch, and denials that they were at all hateful" except maybe to gays, leftists, communists, socialists, and anyone - even fellow conservatives - who told them their Emperor was running around stark white naked.

Of course, all good intergalactic death rides must eventually crash to Earth, trailing bodies and wreckage across the desert of ignominy as it judders to a halt. So it was that, in November of 2008, Mr. Bristow announced that he was going to be pulling the plug on the Spartan Spectator

I have decided that I will not blog anymore after I graduate from the communist-infested hellhole of Michigan State University. I am moving on to bigger and better things, and I unfortunately will not have the time to continue blogging about the decline of Western civilization.

Of course, in keeping with Bristow's usual flip-flops, the blog was turned into a member's only deal after that, and seemingly continued to exist as a private place for he and his magic tree friends to post their poisoned secret laundry. As threatened, Kyle went off to Law School, and except for a brief kerfluffle that erupted when his classmates learned they were sharing space with THAT Kyle Bristow, that was all we heard from him.

Until just recently, when, thanks to a poorly-written, self-published action-adventure novel named White Apocalypse, Bristow got himself back in the limelight, and any and all questions of his having being a racialist - and possibly having been one all along - were totally blown out of existence as if struck by Thor's hammer.
