According to Wiki.com, excluding the 19 hijackers, 2,974 people died in the attacks of 9/11. Another 24 are missing and presumed dead.

The Old President responded with a TRILLION DOLLAR WAR, costing the lives of more than 4,500 Americans and perhaps 250,000 dead in the Middle East. It’s not Rwanda but it is bad.

According to the New York Times, The Attorney General of Mexico, Eduardo Medina Mora speaking of the drug war, “5,376 people have been killed so far in 2008”, more than twice the toll for the first 11 months of 2007.

One of these wars can end tomorrow with an announcement from the Next President of the United States that, “in honor of the legions of men, women and children who have lost their freedom and lives in the decades old war on drugs, I am declaring, the war on drugs is  over.” The march toward peace, equality and justice has begun.
