Now retired General James Cartwright

That old sorry lament, you don't know who to trust anymore or more precisely in this case the Obama administration not knowing who in their inner circle (formally or in the present) they can trust anymore.

This mornings Washington Post reports the Justice Department has named retired General James E. "Hoss" Cartwright, the former Joint Chiefs Vice Chairman and formally a part of Obama's inner circle, as a "person of interest." This writer mistakenly thought after the Steven Hatfill "affair", (where he was named as a "person of interest" in the 2001 anthrax attacks by then Attorney General John Ashcroft but later sued the government for ruining his reputation which the government settled for $5.8 million), such "person of interest" tomfoolery initiated by Ashcroft had ended with Hatfill's exoneration and to the complete embarrassment of the Bush crowd; obviously not so.

As for Cartwright, he's alleged to have leaked information about "Stuxnet", the cyber warfare computer virus that attacked Iran's computer controlled centrifuges enriching uranium in 2010, all orchestrated by the NSA and the Israeli's, thus becoming a "person of interest" by Obama's Justice Department.

"Stuxnet" was the super secret program and the first known instance of a cyber warfare attack on another country making the U.S. and Israel the initiators of cyber warfare. Now the U.S. indignantly blames other countries for conducting cyber attacks on computers of large American corporations.

The fact is no country can initiate using advanced cyber technology as a weapon against other countries and not expect to be on the receiving end of similar cyber attacks coming from other countries.

Cartwright remains mum to the allegations of his leaking information about "Stuxnet" but if he's indicted (as expected) he will surely be demonized and called a traitor by the corporate media as well as the real traitors in Congress.

Look at "Stuxnet" for what it truly was; a pre-emptive act of war on another country. Turn "Stuxnet" around and what would the U.S. (or Israel) do if they discovered Iran had committed a cyber warfare attack against them? Bombers would have been sent to level Tehran.

But the U.S. is the world's lone hyper power that routinely spies on everyone in the world (including its own people), initiates pre-emptive war based on lies, sends drones and missile strikes that kill innocents and engaged in an endless global war on terror. Forget the rule of law, the Constitution and due process; all minor impediments to skirt around.   As Bush did after 9/11 and Obama does now just have Justice Department lawyers write secret memos "legalizing" everything the administration does but always kept secret from prying eyes for reasons of national security.
