Republicans have a standard lie they tell voters.
"Democrats are spending us to death and we Republicans will save you because we are the fiscally responsible party"
Voters, for lack of better information, seem to be fooled by this and often vote against the best interest of the American people and of the nation as a whole. How many times will the American voter let themselves be fooled by the same lie before they wake up and know the facts.
I knew this but for some reason it does not seem to be common knowledge although there is really no secret. The proof has always been in plain sight for anyone willing to ask or seek. The Congressional Budget Office has confirmed this going back to Nixon. Republicans prior to Nixon did much better than they have done since. Every Democratic administration has improved the economy and reduced deficits. Clinton actually balanced our budget and left Bush-2 a surplus.
Now smart Democrats ( and probably smart Republicans as well ) know this. How people vote is the issue and all to many people continue to let themselves be fooled by the Republican lie...time and time again.
