Important Update: We have just learned that 1 of the Wisconsin Republican State Senators has wobbled and is siding with the labor unions and Barack Obama in the epic budget battle in Wisconsin.
Another 2-3 Republican State Senators are also feared to be "wobbling."
Polls fresh out of Wisconsin show that while 93% of Democrats are behind Obama and the unions only 73% of Republicans are siding with Gov. Scott Walker.
So the key to victory is for us to strengthen the fortitude and spines of our "own" side - those who should no better, and stand on their principles.
We are therefore targeting our upcoming ad buys to focus on conservative/Republican areas so we can bolster support for Gov. Walker and his proposals amongst Republican constituents.
We have increased our upcoming ad buy by another $10,000
- to $35,000, to ensure that we can have a big enough impact to "win back" support among wobbling Republicans.
