In yet another shocking incident, Muslims from Pirana village, Ahmedabad, Gujarat were forced to leave their houses by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activists.
The ruling Bhartia Janta Party (BJP) is the political offspring of the RSS.
The distressed Muslim villagers said that their houses were attacked by the RSS workers and that a Dargah, a Muslim religious place, was attacked as well.
In a video that surfaced on the internet, Muslim men and women could be seen protesting against the RSS activists.
"Around 300-400 goons from RSS have attacked our village and we have left our homes and are on roads. We appeal to all the Muslims of Gujarat to come for our rescue," a distressed Muslim man can be heard appealing for help in the video.
This incident reminds Gujarat 2002 riots happened 20 years ago. The three-day Gujrat inter-communal rioting claimed 1044 lives according to official figures. Of the dead, 790 were Muslim and 254 Hindu. Tellingly the Gujrat rioting happened under the watch of Narendra Modi who was the Chief Minister of Gujrat at that time.

In another video, the Muslims of Pirana village were seen protesting outside the collector's office. They said that they have left their houses and are migrating to some other places as they fear another attack from the RSS workers.
The controversy has erupted after a local trust, named Satpanth Preranatirtha Trust, got permission to construct a wall over a Khaqah of a Sufi saint Hazrat Pir Imam Shah Bawa and a Muslim cemetery in the area to which the locals objected. The villagers said that some graves have been dug in the cemetery near Imam Shah Dargah to make the wall.
The trust, however, went ahead with the construction, to which the Muslims protested. The Muslims in Pirana village have been protesting against the Trust decision which comprises three Muslims and eight Hindus as board members. In fact, the Police in large numbers reached near the Khanqah to assure the construction of the wall.
Genocide calls
Tellingly the eviction of Muslims from Pirana village comes amid religiously charged condition created by the recent Hindutva Conferences calling for the genocide of Muslims.
At two separate events in Delhi and Haridwar in December last, the speakers asked Hindus to buy weapons for genocide against Muslims.
Multiple videos of Hindutva group members, journalists and a Bharatiya Janata Party leader calling for violence against Muslims sparked outrage on social media. In one of the videos, Suresh Chavhanke, the editor-in-chief of Sudarshan News, can be seen administering an oath to a group of people to "die for and kill" to make India a "Hindu rashtra" or a Hindu nation.
Between December 17 and 19, a large collection of major religious leaders, right-wing activists, hardline fundamentalist militants and Hindutva organizations came together at Haridwar for an event called the 'Dharma Sansad' or 'Religious Parliament'. Over the course of three days, this event witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of hate speech, mobilizations to violence and anti-Muslim sentiment.
