It is a crime to interfere with elections. Trump's puppet Postmaster General Louis DeJoy should be charged and prosecuted for election interference-- and Trump should be charged as a co-conspirator. We are now seeing that only 62% of the mail is being delivered on time in central Pennsylvania.
Newsweek reports that Democrats have accused the US Postal Service Board of Governors and DeJoy of sabotaging the election, quoting Elizabeth Warren as saying,
""The USPS Board of Governors has refused to release information about their own financial ties and has doubled down on their support of Louis DeJoy," Warren said.
"Once again, I call on the board members to release their financial disclosure forms, remove DeJoy, and do their jobs by reversing DeJoy's actions."
"The @USPS Board of Governors are acting as accomplices to Louis DeJoy's sabotage of the Postal Service," she added in a tweet."
DeJoy has been accused of intentionally slowing down the postal service. Even Fox News has reported, " Postmaster general's actions 'truly slowing down' mail delivery, says head of postal workers union."
Further, this past summer, DeJoy's actions to slow down the mail-- removing sorting machines, ordering the removal of mailboxes, cutting back on postal worker hours-- made an impression on the American citizenry and did major damage to the reputation of the US Postal Service. People no longer trust the postal service. So they didn't use it. Now, in the final hours before the elections, it is election suicide to mail in a ballot this late. Even last week was too late. Many states came up with drop-box alternatives because of the collusion between Trump, DeJoy and the USPS Board of Governors.
Now, Trump complains that "It's a terrible thing that ballots are collected after the election." No he doesn't the lying POSPOTUS created the situation that will make the ballots late. He colluded to make it happen. It is part of the crime.
And wait. There's more. Apparently, DeJoy has engaged in other potentially illegal actions related to elections, as this video describes-- attempting to get employees to vote as he directed.
Sabotaging elections is a crime. People in power, who do things in a really big way often get away with their crimes. DeJoy should not get a pass. He should be prosecuted and, because his actions have affected hundreds of thousands if not millions of people, the punishment should be severe and require jail time.
