Humanitarian Weapons - Self-seeking Correct Target - Without Collateral Damage by Imaginary Museum Projects: News Tableaus
The large majority of the American people say no, absolutely not; they are joined by a similar majority of the International Community who are in total agreement. Pitted against the wishes of the people of the world, President Obama and the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC) are not the least deterred as they march in lockstep into yet another U.S. military debacle.
This president just recently made the statement that his creditability was not on the line but that the creditability of the international community, together with that of America and this Congress was on the line. Nothing like passing the buck and letting others carry the ball in a situation that you yourself initiated.
There's not much doubt that this president has now fully embraced the agenda of the MIC, one that involves the perpetuation of wars and military conflicts that supply a continuous stream of massive profits into their bloodstained coffers. These corporate entities, aka, the members of the defense industry, are entirely dependent upon the continuous production of weapons of war and destruction. The most powerful and profitable are: General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing Co., Lockheed Martin, and United Technologies.
Does Mr. Obama think that whatever he says is absolute, incontestable, and the nations of the world must bow down and comply with his dictates? Is he the modern-day version of Caesar or, is he playing the role of Nero who will be fiddling as the Middle East burns? He needs to wake up to the fact that the international community no longer recognizes either him or America as the leader of the world. Those days are long gone, a thing of the past and the sooner he realizes that the better off he, America and the world will be.
Expert analysts continue to make the case, even as this situation gets closer and closer to an actual attack, that there are still solutions to this dilemma. They stress the immediate need for the U.S. and Russia to sit down and find common ground that would forestall this attack and prevent a catastrophe. These two world powers need to temporarily put their separate Middle East interests aside and use their massive power and influence to bring intense pressure on their various allies to stop the flow of weaponry to both the Assad regime and the rebel factions.
Unfortunately, President Obama isn't listening. He has, at least temporarily, given the members of Congress a chance to voice their opinions. There is not the slightest question that a great many Democrats who are totally against this pre-emptive attack are going to be pressured and coerced by this White House and president to vote yes on the impending resolution to approve an attack. And when they do that, they will likely find that they will pay a huge price in future national elections.
This president may be well-educated but he is clearly showing that he does not possess the necessary degree of wisdom and knowledge of history to fully comprehend the magnitude and extreme danger involved with what he intends to do. Many in Washington firmly believe that he will go through with the attack no matter how the Congress votes on the resolution or what the American people think. And this is the man of peace, that Nobel Laureate?
My prediction is that this resolution will fail to pass in the House as the vast majority of Republicans will refuse to go along with what this president wants; which will not be the least bit surprising. Unfortunately, far too many Democrats will vote in favor, not because they feel it is the right thing to do, but because they will try to prevent a massive embarrassment to Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party; it won't be enough and the resolution will fail.
