George W Bush is finally being recognized for his genius. No, seriously. He's not being honored as the President who created the largest deficit in history, or for racking up the most war crimes, but for his artistic prowess.

The Decider has decided to bare his soul to the world by displaying his creations in the Bush Presidential Library. That should make attendance skyrocket, right?

From CNN:

The exhibit, "The Art of Leadership: A President's Personal Diplomacy," will feature his paintings, as well as artifacts, photographs, and personal reflections about his relationships made on the world stage, according to the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, which is hosting the exhibit.

After leaving office in 2009, the 43rd President took up painting as a hobby and hired an instructor, telling his teacher: "There's a Rembrandt trapped in this body. Your job is to find it."

Bush told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King that the hobby helps him relax and see colors in a new light.

"I am, I guess, tapping a part of the brain that, you know, certainly never used when I was a teenager. And I get the satisfaction out of completing a project," he said, adding that he loves to paint people's pets and give the paintings as gifts.

Wow -- there are parts of his brain that haven't been tapped! Missing parts that could've proved useful during his years in the Oval Office, no doubt. He feels satisfaction from completing a project?  I would hope to shout!  He was mighty fine at starting all manner of nasty messes with no exit strategy or final outcome in mind.  Nice that there are a few dots he's actually able to (belatedly) connect, even if they are in a coloring book.

And somebody call a doctor; there's a Rembrandt trapped in Dim Son's body! For God's sake, let him out!!!

Rembrandt?

Like his mind, his art is simple. For those of us who will not be visiting the exhibit (!) here is a preview of the masterpieces we are missing:

There are the disturbing bathroom selfies:

--

Notice the intense self-reflection in the mirror. Is he pondering the tens of thousands of victims of his terror wars? Questioning his use of partial drowning against innocent prisoners? The use of chemical weapons that burned the flesh off children in Iraq? Wondering if he missed a spot shaving?

There's this sweet little kitty in a mirror:

Kathy never expected a career in radio as a talk show producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy was completing her nursing degree when in 2001 - in an emergency - she was asked to fill in as the producer of Mike's program. Within a few (more...)
