It is time. Trump is now an un-indicted co-conspirator in what amounts to one of the highest crimes in the nation-- corruption of an election for president.
It is now absolutely necessary to begin impeachment proceedings in the House. Every candidate for congress should be forced to take a stand on impeachment-- Democrat, Republican, Green and Independent.
Trump must be impeached. The GOP will try to get him to resign, in exchange for a release for him and his family. Trump should not be pardoned. The crimes of Trump are too severe, too damaging to America. He must face the full force of the law.
Congress should immediately start proceedings and it is outrageous to even think that Trump should be allowed to appoint any judge, let alone a judge for the Supreme Court.
This evening, I will be attending an event where my district's Democratic candidate for congress will be attending. I will absolutely tell him that he should be calling for impeachment and making it clear that if Pelosi does not commit to it, that he will not support her. Support for impeachment should be a litmus test for every candidate in any party, but particularly Democrats
Voices must be raised. We need to tell all members of congress that allowing a criminal in the White House is not acceptable.
While they are at it, they should talk about impeaching all of Trump's appointees to lifetime judgeships. It is unimaginable to contemplate the idea that a man who became president using criminal means could appoint a single appointee. That may also apply to the man who was elected on his coattails-- Vice President Pence. I realize I am moving into speculative territory. But we are in unexplored territory and all possibilities should be explored and considered.
