Many of you now know that I was a U.S. asset covering Iraq at the United Nations for 7 years before the 2003 invasion. You know that I was arrested under the Patriot Act and imprisoned on Carswell Air Force Base when the Bush cabal wanted to cook the intelligence books to hide their deception, since the Saddam Hussein regime had offered the U.S. a peace plan entailing virtually everything the Bush regime publicly demanded from it, and more.
On the 10 year anniversary of the start of the war, it's worth examining the truth about pre-war intelligence that President Bush fought so viciously to hide--because there was another way. A comprehensive peace option had been hammered out in covert, back channel talks in the two years before the war started.
In Minneapolis/St. Paul this week, I told that story to a TV journalist. I hope you'll check it out.
