Paean to Back When Revolutions Were A Dime A Dozen

By Johnny Guernica

.

Abbie would say, revolution for the hell of it,

But I don't think he had in mind this kind of mess,

No logical progression

No chord structure intention

No grand unfolding of historical progress

No pilgrim's progress back to the garden to chop that f*cking tree right down

Abbie would say, on any given day,

The squares wanna bebop the living daylights out of love

Amazon blue icon schlong filled with pellets of lead upside your head

Any given day, to the action men, lefty lingo's on trial for his thoughts

It's past the time when one could piss down golden shekels on brokers gone mad in the piggy trough

Way past the time to conjure up the levity it would take to lift the Pentagon and then set it back down with a mazel tov.

We past, we post-

We post- most everything

The pendulum swinging back is a wrecking ball, time to nitpick whether they came down in chains or in free fall

You get the feeling the lost souls took Nietzsche' s moustache just a tad too seriously

Who died mad as King George, for chrissake, last words supposedly, mama, I f*ck up, supposedly said deliriously.

Still, the knell of nil has not yet rung.

And we might just counterculture yet.

About time Gen Zzz woke the f*ck up.

About time the LGBQT lot stopped posturing on the catwalk and picked up a brick and threw it threw the dark glass of embodiment.

They know where to throw it.

I myself am not long for here and now.

Gotta a ticket for a ride up the 99, yeah, gotta blow, and how.

Enjoy the revolution for the revolution' s sake.

Next time an oil man comes along to rub you down, punch him in the snake

Take a selflessie.

Yeah, revolution for the hell of it.

For the hell of it.

The Hell.

Praise St. Abbie.

Ring that bell.

Go a little crazy in the belfry.

Ring them bells.
