The following articles are about the Hartzok for Congress Press Conferences held in four locations (10/14/14)
on the "Paul Revere Ride" throughout PA Congressional District 9 to
alert citizens of the failure of Congressman Bill Shuster to bring
forward for a House vote the crucially important Saracini Aviation
Safety Act. The Act, sponsored by a Republican Congressman from PA
(Fitzpatrick) has been languishing in Shuster's
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for a year and a half. Ellen
Saracini and Melodie Homer, both widows whose pilot husbands perished
in the 9/11 attacks (South Tower and Shanksville hijackings)
accompanied Hartzok and spoke to the urgent need to pass the legislation
that would mandate secondary barriers for airplanes.
Minus these barrier gates our nation remains vulnerable to another 9/11 type of disaster. Please forward and in other ways bring these articles to the attention of others, and write Op Eds and Letters to the Editor expressing your concern after reading them.
