Finally. The world has joined forces against its most life-threatening enemy -- the Monsanto mega-corporation determined to attack not only humanity, but the planet itself, not with IEDs or drones, but with the deadly GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).

According to Justin Gammill of Earth911.com ...
"First they made the plants sterile, so that farmers have to buy them again the next year, instead of planting natural seed from the previously harvested crops. Then they found a way to make the plants basically 'grow themselves to death.' According to Emma Must from the World Development Movement, 'by peddling suicide seeds, the biotechnology multinationals will lock the world's poorest farmers into a new form of genetic serfdom.' Another fun little side effect of GMOs is a cool trick called 'drift,' where the run-off from their herbicide-resistant seeds makes its way to a natural crop and kills it. Like in 2012, herbicide sprayed in the San Joaquin Valley of California drifted and damaged cotton fields as far as 100 miles away."

Today is the day! Activists such as Chris Hedges, Jim Hightower and the late, and oh-so-great Molly Ivins have begged -- even demanded -- that to make a difference we must take to the streets en masse, "beating on pots and pans" to make a difference.

And, that is exactly what is happening. According to March Against Monsanto, marches are occurring today on six continents, in 52 countries, with events in over 400 cities. In the US, solidarity marches are slated to occur in 47 states. A comprehensive list of marches can be seen in this press release.

So, join us. Post your thoughts, your experiences here, with us. And, let's keep beating those pots and pans ...
