The Twitterization of OpEdNews
We've added a batch of great new features that make it easy to tweet articles on OEN. If If you have a Twitter account, you can add your user name and password (which will be encrypted) to your OEN account so you can really easily tweet articles to your followers and to hashtag groups on twitter. We automatically shorten the URL for you and start the tweet with the title.

You can also follow people, or be followed easily, if you've posted an article, even a comment.

If you register your twitter user info with OEN, your recent tweets both on and off OEN will be included on your member archives page, along with your articles, diaries, comments, etc. And people can also follow you from your member page.

In addition, we've created a new content category-- Tweets, where people can comment on your tweets. This is displayed as a new column, below the diaries column. Have an interesting idea, tidbit of information or observation and don't feel like writing a lot about it... or a link that strikes you as worth sharing-- tweet it and it will also turn into the beginning of a threaded/threadable conversation on

There's more and we're not done yet. But this is an exciting beginning. Please try it out. If you're not on twitter yet, come on already. It's the future. A year ago there were about 1.25 million users, Now there are over 35 million.
