As Obama quoted in his presidential victory speech

"It's the answer that led those who've been told for so long by so many to be cynical and fearful and doubtful about what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day"

*Impact on Minorities here in United States (Hispanic, Black, Asian, Native and Poor) Obama spoke to minorities by default. Not because of his race, as some may think--and let's not forget he's multi racial, but BECAUSE he "gets it"-.

Indeed, being born in a single family home and raised by his grandparents, Obama victory is a great encouragement to minorities. Although it doesn't necessarily mean racism is no longer part of our lives, but it will certainly improve behavior from "victim' to "victor." - Obama was able to show, despite attacks, keeping "eyes on the prize"- with a positive attitude and hard work, everything is possible in America.  These changes are more pronounced among young minorities now. After all, if HOPE won over FEAR, it's a clear indication that the message of "- possibility"- conveyed during the campaign was one of the components that gave Obama a boost.

*Great Hope in Europe and around the World

(Refer France, UK, Belgium testimonies on page 2)

The message to Europe is mainly "Practice what you preach"- As Obama well stated in his victory speech: "If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer".  When I listened to Obama on that victory night,  I thought immediately of France. They have been preaching "Human rights"- for years. And when you watch TV, you need a good pair of glasses to find minorities. I think just recently France has "one"- minority in their government.  But they have long way to go.  Belgium is far behind France and UK, because in Belgium,  racism is almost a legal institution.  Even those with Belgian citizenship are sometimes denied their rights.

Obama's victory sent a clear message of "Hope in America is Hope everywhere,"  encouragement to minorities to push for a more justice. Just like Martin Luther King Jr. in his letter from Birmingham jail: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"- MLK

*Role Model to Young people in general and Black Males in Particular

As a canvasser and phone banker in his Obama Campaign, I traveled  around the country.  I've seen with my own eyes how young people were involved whether they were paid or not. They were all motivated by what Obama plans for their future particularly when it comes to tuition assistance. This can be summarized in a simple sentence: Obama is a transformational figure" for future generation.

*Emphasis on Education and Free Market Leadership

I believe in "the unknown gives one the opportunity to grow" and, that "Attitude determines Altitude". There is no limitation but in one's own mind. My hero's leaders are Abraham Lincoln (the most influential American to my opinion), John F. (more...)
