What is moral righteousness? From my interpretation and the way I was taught, it means being honest or honorable as well as being truthful. It also means kindness. During the Great Depression of the last century, there was no television. We had the radio, newspapers and magazines. There were some wonderful radio programs with avengers such as the Lone Ranger with his sidekick Tonto. He was always masked and his trademark a silver bullet. He always managed to come to the aid of people who were ill-treated by crooks, liars and thieves. The background music for this program was the William Tell Overture. This radio show began in 1933.

There was another masked vigilante titled "The Mark of Zorro." Zorro was first a story in a magazine titled, "The Curse of Capistrano" and the characters were Mexican/Spanish from the Los Angeles, California area. Zorro was a great swordsman and had no sidekick. In 1920, which was the time of silent movies, the movie "The Mark of Zorro," was filmed. It later became a series when television came into being.

During the 1930's, radio also had The Green Hornet with his sidekick of Kato. The Green Hornet was the alter ego of a wealthy young-publisher and with his assistant Kato, they went out to fight crime driving an advanced car named "Black Beauty. In addition, of course they wore masks. This show began in 1936 followed by The Shadow in 1938.

I loved The Shadow's opening statement, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" He had no name and ""besides his tremendous strength, he could overcome any enemy, defy gravity, speak any language, unravel any code, and become invisible with his famous ability to cloud men's minds." From these radio shows emerged the popular Batman and Robin, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman. The principles that these masked men lived were to make right what had been wrong and to have value for life. They lived a life of honor and brought justice to those taken advantage of. They fought the robber barons, the thieves, the crooks and liars on behalf of the 'good and simple' people. These characters were vigilantes of the highest caliber of integrity. I learned from these programs. It became ingrained in me to know and understand right from wrong.

These radio shows went on to become television series and later replaced by other shows. Our world has been captured by the 'robber barons,' and they control the wealth of the world at the expense of the workers in all countries. They have been clever in moving for world control in underhanded and insidious ways. One of the latest is to attack Thomas Jefferson who wrote the Declaration of Independence. A group of lawyers from the UK have been in Philadelphia to examine the original document and are declaring that what Jefferson wrote is illegal. Perhaps their next step is to send U.S. lawyers to the Supreme Court to agree with their findings. Yes, they want to take our independence away from us to become like third world countries.

Today we have people revolting in many countries and once the Occupy Wall Street began, the movement has expanded throughout the world. The revolutionaries are not using guns or destructive means -- except for a minority. These are peaceful revolutionaries and yet, as an example, the New York City police officers have been brutal with the Occupy Wall Street protesters and perhaps it is because J.P. Morgan gave the police 4.8 million dollars. Money can buy people if the people are in fear for their own jobs.

From my perspective, these protesters are heroes and one in particular is Marine Sgt. Shamar Thomas. From an interview:

"I took an Oath that I live by. I am NOT anti-NYPD. I am anti-Police Brutality. I am no longer under contract with the USMC so I do NOT have to follow military uniform regulations. I DON'T affiliate myself with ANY GROUPS or POLITICAL ORG. I affiliate myself with the AMERICAN PEOPLE - that's it. I REFUSE to affiliate with anything that SEPARATES. There is an obvious problem in the country and PEACEFUL PEOPLE should be allowed to PROTEST without Brutality. I was involved in a RIOT in Rutbah, Iraq 2004 and we did NOT treat the Iraqi citizens like they are treating the unarmed civilians in our OWN Country. No one was brutalized because our mission was to "WIN the hearts and minds.' why should I expect anything less in my OWN Country."

It is up to each of us to review our own moral righteousness. In Matthew 5 in the Bible, Jesus gave a wonderful sermon saying "to do unto others as you would have them to unto you." From my perspective, to be moral, one gives up greed, lying, bigotry, prejudices and sees others from another perspective. Each of us is unique and we should honor our self. How do we change the world? One kind deed at a time. Releasing anger and forgiving. Love is a many splendored value to have.

What if we began bombarding the robber barons with their minions with the frequency of love? Masaru Emoto with his research shows that sending love into polluted water can change it into being clean. Why not use love as our tool? We now "do unto others as we want them to do unto us." We first have to remove our own fear and anger in order to see love as a tool for justice. The world robber barons think they are invincible, and use fear as their way of keeping people in line. We can no longer remain passive. There is a time for action using love and kindness as well as voicing what we want to our government officials

In the book series by J.R.R. Tolkien, titled Lord of the Rings, there is one section where Gandalf was standing on the bridge and shouted to his adversary, "You cannot pass." This can also be what each of us can say to fear when fear wants to enter into our reasoning. "Fear, you cannot pass."
