Wonder, the movie, is available for free on Amazon Prime. I loved it, because it touched my heart, so many times.
This is a wonder- ful movie that kept making me cry-- the good kind of tears, when you see people's hearts softening, when you see kindness given and kindness embraced, when you see people do good.
It's about a ten year old boy, Augie, with a genetic facial deformity who's been through a lot of surgeries, who's lived in the safety of a loving, protective family. His mother, played by Julia Roberts, finally decides it's time to end his homeschooling and to send him to a regular school. He's scared... for good reason. Kids can be so cruel. And some are.
But the movie shows how Augie copes and how the kids around him eventually show love and kindness towards him. I like to watch movies that make me cry by touching my heart. This one paid off in tears in spades.
Watch it and cry beautiful tears. Enjoy the acting of Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin, and the star, child actor, Jacob Tremblay.
