Let's join for holiday psalms and proverbs sure to soothe our troubled souls.
Like the African American girl tossed out of her Christian school because she had "natural" hair...
"A 12-year-old girl is being threatened with expulsion from school for refusing to cut her natural afro hair."Vanessa VanDyke, who is a student at Orlando's Faith Christian Academy in Florida, had been suffering taunts over her hairstyle from fellow students.
"But her mother, Sabrina Kent, says that when she complained about the issue, school administrators took similar aim and told Vanessa that her hair violated school dress codes for being a 'distraction.' Vanessa says that she was given one week to decide if she wanted to cut her hair, and if not, she would have to leave the school.
"She feels that her hair is part of her identity and for that reason, does not plan to change it. The school says that Vanessa's hair qualifies as a distraction, but according to Ms Kent: 'A distraction to one person is not a distraction to another. You can have a kid come in with pimples on his face. Are you going to call that a distraction?' Administrators at Faith Christian Academy were not available to respond to MailOnline's requests for comment. Vanessa, who has been at the school since the third grade, says that she is 'depressed about leaving my friends and people I've known for a while, but I'd rather have that than the principals and administrators picking on me and saying that I should change my hair.'"
Such compassionate conservative Christians. I wonder if Jesus would be allowed to attend their school, if his hair was too nappy?
And, how about the sexy spanking scandal at a San Francisco catholic church that has more layers than the Pope's robes...
"Kinky sex in the sanctuary, embezzlement and racy photos are causing scandal at one of San Francisco's oldest Catholic churches."The accusations flying out of the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi have led to the 'comprehensive investigation of alleged improper behavior' involving the shrine's volunteer chairman, William McLaughlin and admin-assistant, Jhona Mathews, 33 -- costing them both their jobs.
"According to shrine spokesman, Larry Kamer, a police report was filed last week alleging that Mathews had stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from the church. Mathews, in turn, has filed a sexual harassment claim against the church, alleging that McLaughlin forced her to have sex with him inside the church's sanctuary.
"'McLaughlin spanked her and forced her to engage in sexual intercourse with him' in order to keep her job, alleged Sandra Ribera, who is acting as Mathews's attorney.
"'Paddling with a wooden paddle, getting spanked in the sacristy of the shrine of St. Francis, which Catholics know, it's just appalling to hear as a Catholic and having sexual intercourse in the shrine of St. Francis,' added Ribera.
"McLaughlin, who is believed to be in his 60s and is a wealthy Marin County real-estate developer, acts as the chairman of the shrine's volunteer program.

"'She felt she had no choice,' Ribera said to the San Francisco Chronicle. 'He was dangling her livelihood over her head, and she had a daughter to feed.'
"Mathews allegedly broke off the affair in October and filed her police report after she was fired last week.
