NSA Director General Keith Alexander

Deep from within the inner bowels of the NSA, agency Director General Keith Alexander reportedly gave a wide ranging 90 minute interview where among his other statements he insisted, "We followed the law, we follow our policies, we self-report, we identify problems, we fix them." [i] Hmm?

To which we must ask, "Was that before or after Edwards Snowden's whistleblower revelations on the NSA's clandestine surveillance and data mining operations on the electronic communications of everyone, foreign and domestic in the world"?

Alexander did acknowledge the "agency" faced "an entirely new reality" with the possibility of Congressional restrictions on its operations.

To which we might add, "Yes that tends to happen General when you openly lie before Congress when you're asked to provide the specifics of your operations, (prior to Snowden) and now (post Snowden) you're forced to give a mea culpa interview attempting to clear up the "misunderstanding" of what the NSA collects". Please!

The reality is coupled with the CIA "spooks" over in Langley, the NSA has done far more harm to this country than all the terrorists combined over time in the history of the world.

And of course the general's "for reasons of national security" wolf cry defense is so worn and tattered that anyone still gullible enough to believe him is probably someone who still sees "Commies" under the bed.
