The US is really screwed. Right wing duped fools and delusional libertarians and the unquestioning Democratic faithful are all helping the transnational corporatist predators, with the help of the politicians they own,  to strip mine the USA's resources.

Last night, Republican voters threw out one of the few remaining moderates in the senate, Lugar. To win a GOP contest one must be a fire breathing extremist... or filthy rich, rich enough to be the highest bidder for an election-- like Mitt Romney.
Republicans are not stupid. There are theories that they have different brain functions, like bigger amygdalas, the fear center of the brain, or that their brains resist change. I don't have an answer, but I know that they are a little more destructive than Democrat loyalists-- people who do not question Obama and his rubber stamp congress.
As the US becomes more polarized, like last night's repudiation of Lugar made it clear that there is no negotiation. There is war. With electronic voting in place in most of the US, we citizens have almost no reason to trust election outcomes, especially close ones. Electoral politics is a sick, disgusting joke.
I know that there are  many of you who repeat the mantra, "what about the supreme court?"
Well, good luck. Because it's going to be luck if Democratic, lesser of two evils Obama wins. Or perhaps it is just the plan by those who have the power. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. The reality is that electronic voting makes anything possible. There should be a litmus test for all candidates-- oppose electronic voting or lose.
Until we have trustworthy voting, elections are just not real. Even after that, the electoral process is, with the money permitted by Citizens United, an auction, as Dylan Ratigan has described it.
America is at risk. I've come to realize that it's not the one percent. It's the .001% who are the problem-- and the vast collection of right wing dupes and fools who listen to Fox News and right wing radio.
By the way, if you know anyone who listens to FOX News, remind them, every chance you get, that the biggest shareholder is a Saudi Prince-- a Muslim. Ask them how they think he influences the news to manipulate them.
By the way, I haven't written a screed attacking right wingers in a while. When I used to, I'd get hate mail. In case you're a right wing dupe/fool reading this, WAKE UP!! You are supporting traitors who are accelerating the end of the US, caused by transnational corporatist predators which are strip mining the resources of the US and the rest of the world.

We need laws that put the heads of these corporations in jail, starting with executives at BP-- but just starting there. We need laws that include placement of these psychopaths in mainstream prisons, not cushy upper class resort prisons.  The president has claimed rights to execute people who are enemies of America, who are terrorizing us. Some of these corporate chiefs are the worst killers, worst maimers. Start looking at Monsanto, at manufacturers of tasers that kill, at Big Pharma companies that produce drugs with known deadly side-effects, at health insurers lobbying for policies that cause deaths of tens of thousands.
I'm sure that libertarians reading this will be having sh*t fits. So what. Libertarians are delusional. They think that there is any kind of freedom, or free economy. They fail to realize that the big corporations set the rules, set the evasions. There is no such thing as a totally free economy, as sociopath Milton Friedman based his Chicago School of Economics theory. To be a libertarian is to be delusional-- not as bad as your typical right winger who has been misled and duped and made a fool of, but not much better either.
You want to talk about getting rid of regulations? Try checking out mother nature. Nature requires all kinds of regulations and limits and controls. Why would economics be any different? Libertarianism ideas of zero regulations are pure fantasy.
Bottom line, Lugar's loss is a sign that things are still getting worse. Americans are experiencing boiled frog syndrome. Argentinians finally jumped out of the pot of boiling water and threw the bastards out in 2001 when they closed the banks so people couldn't take out their savings. In the matter of a month, they went through four administrations.
Imagine forcing the resignations of all the members of congress who were elected by e-voting. Imagine forcing out a president elected under the suspicion of e-voting. Imagine if all the unemployed and all the people without health insurance woke up from the boiling pot and went out into the streets, banging on pots and pans, as the Argentinians did.
Occupy took over small locales. It was a step. American need to wake up. They don't need a majority. They don't need to elect candidates who bought their way onto the ballot.
It'd be interesting to see what the NYPD would do if  a few hundred thousand people were out on the streets. Would they pepper spray them? Would they kettle them? Would they arrest them?
What if this was happening in big cities all across the nation?
What if it happened days and evenings in a row, like it happened in Tahrir square?
Would Obama call out the marines?
Would local police put on their Homeland Security paid for robocop uniforms and play with their taser and laser and acoustic weapons toys?
Protests are legal. OWS protesters are being acquitted. Maybe, soon, the protesters will start bringing civil suits against the police who arrest and brutalize them, the officers and city officials who order the arrests.
Ok. enough screed. It's getting late. I've catharted.
Now, how do we get all those people out in the streets?
