She is lying on the seat as if on a lounge, in a gown.
I am pulling threads from her gown
Without disturbing the material.
She is watching me.
All of the threads are releasing their hold on the material
Very obligingly and soon there will be nothing
Holding the dress together but stasis.
When the woman sits up, the dress will fall off
Into its constituent bits and pieces.
I will not be there to witness this remarkable burlesque
Because I have to get back to my job.
Apparently I am on break from an office job.
And had driven to a parking lot off a busy interstate
So that I could undress this woman.
Now I will leave the car and the woman in my car,
Whom I have never seen before,
To her privacy.
I imagine that she will eventually get up
And climb out of the car naked.
People will marvel at the wonder
Of such a beautiful woman wandering around.
Then someone will help her.
(That is exactly what I dreamt.)
