Supporters of the Iran Nuclear Deal are planning a candlelight vigil Thursday, Sept. 10, 6 PM, in front of the Westwood Federal Building in Los Angeles to urge still "undecided" Southern California lawmakers to back the President's peace initiative.
The vigil, co-sponsored by Progressive Democrats of America, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Peace Action, is part of MoveOn.org's national campaign to support the initiative, which is scheduled for a congressional vote in mid-September. Earlier, MoveOn.org and Peace Action held a "No War with Iran" rally in front of "undecided" Congressman Ted Lieu's office, delivering over 2500 petition signatures to Lieu's District Director Lisa Pinto. During August, Lieu travelled to Israel on a trip sponsored by the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which is spending 40-million dollars to defeat the nuclear agreement. Kevin Lynne videotaped the rally video below in front of Lieu's office. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xUpK-6nw9Y
