For years, some folks in the press have touted Karl Rove as a "genius," an electoral wizard and a governmental guru.
Well, it seems that King Karl is losing some of his brilliance. In a scathing piece for the current issue of Rolling Stone, Matt Taibbi asserts that Rove is nothing more than an amoral dirtbag. And that has nothing to do with genius.
Here in Alabama, where Rove built his national reputation by cooking up GOP victories in state-court races in the 1990s, I can attest that Rove's numerous acolytes aren't so smart either.
With a special prosecutor appointed to look into the firings of nine U.S. attorneys, could Rove's nasty house of cards be imploding?
