It is a crime to shoot and kill a man. However, if this is done protecting a room of school children it is not a crime because the behavior served a higher cause. I suggest the 'crime' Julian Assuange is accused of is just that and helped expose crimes against humanity committed by the US machine gunning innocent people to death from a helicopter in Iraq. Of course the US wants Assange punished for exposing real criminal behavior.
I want to speak to the proportionality of criminal acts here. The government being exposed here by Julian Assange's criminal act is the US government, which murdered three million innocent people in Vietnam within their own borders. Daniel Ellsberg engaged in a similar criminal act as Assange, also manifesting a higher cause to expose some of the crimes against humanity by the US government in Vietnam. The US further engaged in heinous crimes in Iraq including the gratuitous use (experimentation, really) of depleted uranium munitions and many Iraqi women subsequently gave birth to dead babies and babies with exposed internal organs. This speaks to the proportionality of criminal behavior--we need whistle blowers!
Finally, regarding this need I recommend all Americans view the video of building seven being demolished to the ground on 9/11. Building seven was a piece of the 9/11 event which, if investigated, would clearly, clearly expose the most egregious of crimes against the American people--treason. It has not been investigated so we need many whistle blowers to help us with this.
To elaborate, I note that building seven was obviously professionally demolished. Also, the personnel using that building as a work site included elements of the secret service, CIA, and other US government intel-agency persons and they were all directed to leave the building just before the signal to initiate the demolition. All this could have easily been investigated: who planned this, who installed the explosives and where did they come from, who assured that none of the employees revealed any of this to the press? This is why we need whistle blowers.
FYI, Robert Mueller was appointed to be FBI director seven days before 9/11. The FBI is tasked with investigating crimes against the American people. Mueller was chosen to make damn sure this did not happen. Again, this is why we need whistle blowers. There were a lot of people told to leave the building at the appointed time and any one of them 'could' be a whistle blower. We must raise our voices in support of Julian Assange.
