This election has been nothing but short on unexpected surprises, from the NBC audio revelations of Donald Trump bragging about groping women and kissing them without their permission. To Clinton having to stand on the debate stage chastising a candidate for president for his deplorable and shameless misbehavior; while simultaneously having to stand in the very same room where there were women in the audience who have accused her husband of sexual prowess and rape.

Needless to say, it's been an exhausting and quite frankly disappointing, and a disturbing presidential election, led by the least liked candidates, both Republican and Democratic, possibly in history. Hey, America, you get what you ask for, and you asked for this. Not me, I voted for Bernie Sanders, but that's beside the point now. Regardless of how you and I voted, Clinton and Trump won the majority. Welcome to democracy folks, where even fools and connoisseurs of controversy, and yes, a woman, can be just a heartbeat away from winning the most powerful position in the land. I still love me some democracy, though.

That said, I'll be voting for Hillary Clinton. I can't in good conscience vote for Donald Trump, because the minute it was reported he longed to use nuclear weapons, Operation Wetback, and torture, I knew my vote would be a political protest against all of that, and then some.

However, I cannot lie: voting for Clinton doesn't come easy. As a "war hawk liberal," as I've been accused of via Twitter because I want boots on the ground in Syria, I was mortified when Hillary said she would not put foot soldiers in Syria - a nonsensical and honestly dishonest promise, considering there's already American troops there. Also, Clinton is a big advocate of children, and I know in my heart-of-heart that Clinton cannot in her good conscience continue to watch children die, become refugees, or remain idle as information pours in that some Syrian children are attempting suicide. Thus, I'm confused why she would make such a promise that surely won't be easy to keep.

I'm also skeptical of relationships she has built with tyrannical, undemocratic dictators' like Abdullah of Saudi Arabi. Forgive me for being the type of human being that doesn't think accepting money from a human arsonist of human rights is permissible even if that money is for a good cause.

Clinton is also unreliable to telling the truth (reference Wiki Leaks) and nothing but the truth on the various subject manners, but Trump is guilty of the same. Oddly, though, these controversies are the least of Clinton's worry.

On Friday, James Comey wrote a letter to Congress informing that "in connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence to emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation." An investigation most had thought closed, in particular, the Clinton camp. We have Anthony Weiner to thank for reopening this mess, with his sexual scandal on the FBI's horizon. Figures.

Of course, Republicans couldn't help but accuse Clinton of criminality, even though no one knows how many emails are an issue, much less, what's in the emails. Reports are circulating that the emails are not addressed to Clinton, and neither were they replied by her and could be duplicates of emails already reviewed, allegedly. However, in the age of social media, no one has patience for a thorough investigation anymore, especially in our oh so partisan atmosphere.
