Finally, anger is growing in the land.  Praise be!
.
The lamentable common cop-out is that anger accomplishes nothing.  This of course is beyond nonsense -- it is pandering to plastic morality in its most obeisant and moronic form.  Anger is not only beneficial to worthy causes but the necessary stimulus to correction of institutionalized abuse.
.
Rage on, citizens, we desperately need to rid our governance of the indenture to greed interests and the vicious courses such pandering accommodates:  larceny of the public treasure,
establishment of a crudely exploitive elite, Orwellian intrusion of privacy, police brutality, diminishment of human dignity, and the instrumentalities of war and torture in pursuit of enrichment and nourishment of the lust for power.
.
But anger without action is useless, being simply the wail of victimization.  Anger intelligently and effectively utilized requires action to remedy its cause.
.
Historically, within the confines of citizen actions, these remedies are three.  The first of these in our nation is political action within the law of the land, as defined by our Constitution, state laws and local ordinances.  Misfortunately, with the trashing of our Bill of Rights, the indenture of our elected to greed and power mongers, and the emergence of lawless police-statism -- this is a remedy of which we are already deprived.
.
Another option for remedy is revolution.  Arrgh! you say, the "R" word!  Well, consider these words:  " This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it."  What scarlet criminal, what moral degenerate, what avatar of violence said these words?  Robespierre?  Vladimir Lenin?  No indeed, it was Abraham Lincoln on the occasion of his first inaugural.
.
Now, a third option:  Passive resistance.  This is indeed something that's been done for many years, but the last time it actually worked -- spare me the invective, my activist friends -- was the influence it had on stopping the war in Viet Nam.  Since then it has largely failed, not really so much because of the police atrocities we've allowed to interrupt it, but because of inadequate -- spare me, idealists! -- support, both in numbers of participants and over duration of time.
.
Should there be any doubt, my persuasion favors the choice of passive resistance -- but such needs to be graduated from a leisure time activity or the province of too few authentic idealists to a massive and enduring action at the seat of power and corruption.
.
Should there be any doubt of that seat of war, torture, and desecration of our Constitution, that seat is the very seat of our federal government, Washington, DC.
.
The numbers required for the necessary correction are massive.  I went with 350,000 in 2005.  That mass was insufficient.  It will take seven figures, a million or more participants.
.
For how long?  Well, our second mistake in '05, other than insufficient numbers, was to go home on Sunday night.  The effective effort requires staying power:  weeks, months, however long in place it takes to be assured the atrocious war ends and our Bill of Rights is restored.
.
Will such required action cause inconvenience?  Discomfort?  Lack of sanitation?  Sickness?  Threats of police and military actions?  Yes.  Yes.  Yes.  Yes.  Yes.
.
But that's what it will take.  Decent governance is not a gift from God, it must be EARNED.
.
But we can now sense the beginning of the process:  the recognition and the growth of our anger.  We must not denigrate it.  We must use it effectively.
.
Now to get the required numbers in the required place for the required time -- to bring America home.

Leaving behind a treacherous government now addicted to perpetual war, its limitlessly greedy and power-lusting masters, as well as the retarded albeit smirky Republicans and their evermore clonish Democrat colleagues, a braindead electorate (more...)
