The Disney Parent-Child Championship is open to parents and grandparents who raised their children in the Santa Clarita area but moved away over 10 years ago when the children were of preschool age and are now in their teens.
The challenge consists of the parent or grandparent taking their teenager back to the neighborhood where they lived and have them find a house where they used to play with their friends when they were growing up.
The winner is the team that finds the house in the shortest amount of time. The prize is free access to any Disneyland in the world for the participating teen and parent for an entire year.
Fred and his daughter Cynthia lived in Santa Clarita until 2009 but when Fred asked her to enter the competition, Cynthia reminded him of her dance competition on the very same day.
Fred asked the official coordinator if he could enter the competition with his Border Collie, Hunter. Hunter technically qualified because a 2-year-old dog is a teenager in dog years but he did lie when he told them that Hunter was living with Cynthia when she was in the 1st grade since he wasn't born until 2017. Fred also failed to mention that Hunter finds things with one or all of the 3 Tele's: 1. Telepathy is the ability to transmit words, emotions, or images to someone else's mind. 2. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects through mind power. 3. Teleportation refers to transporting yourself or your mind to a location miles away from you in fraction of seconds.
The night Fred brought him home and parked three houses away, he found the house. Thirteen days later Fred took him to Hidden Hills where his cousin lives and parked over a mile away.Fred doesn't walk, hike or do anything on foot in Hidden Hills.
If you have a lot time on your hands then you can watch the whole 9 minutes. I made a 5-minute version where you can watch him find the house and run up the driveway into the garage to the back door.
Why is that important?
He is off leash and everyone who visits enters the house through the garage.
The thumbnail on the YouTube is the map of the route he took to get to their house. Hunter has found where Fred worked and lived going all the way back to 1972. Read about Hunter at OpEdNews. [1]
The officials contacted the National assignor who conferred with Disney officials and realized the free PR they would get if they let Hunter enter the competition.
On their way to Santa Clarita to find Cynthia's best childhood friend Emily's house, Hunter knew something was wrong. Fred had to call an old friend to ask him where to get off the 5 Freeway.
Fred exited at Valencia, turned left on McBean Pkwy and was heading in the right direction but it was so long since he had been there and all the subdivisions looked alike, he turned left on Baywood Ln instead of Fairview Drive, just north of Newhall Ranch Road.
