Click below to access your state's ASVAB statistics. The ASVAB is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, a military test that was given to 678,000 high school students last year. 85% of these students were tested without parental consent and their test results, social security numbers, and demographic information were forwarded to the Pentagon for recruiting purposes. ASVAB data is the only information leaving US schools about children without providing for parental consent.
The database includes the name and location of 11,700 schools administering the test, along with the most current test date, the total of those who took the test, a breakdown by grade, and the release option chosen. The information was recently received through a protracted and contested Freedom of Information Act request.
