To each and every news media organization I have emailed, here is an outstanding example of what can be written about the massive voter purges and to acknowledge the truth of what has happened in Nov 2004 and what is likely to happen again on Nov 4th.
If you care one whit about Democracy and about the right of each citizen to be able to vote and have their vote counted properly, please provide more coverage on the many ways in which the GOP is working 1) block the vote and 2) control who and how the votes get counted and 3) the unprecedented use of private companies that tally the votes using tabulators and provide faulty electronic voting machines.

P.S. I don't get paid for sending you these emails, and in fact i send them out of a sense of public duty after the Nov 2004 election debacle and my sense of dread that Obama will still lose come Nov 4th.

Wow, I'm so impressed and so thankful at your new commentary that you wrote in response to my recent article I sent you pleading, begging for journalists and writers to cover the massive voter purges. Great work!
Making Sure Every Vote Isn't Counted (Joe Rothstein's Commentary)
October 22, 2008
Despite all of the public interest in and enthusiasm for the 2008 campaign, despite all the new voter registrations, on November 4 the number of votes cast may be considerably fewer than 120 million votes counted for Bush and Kerry in 2004. Maybe as much as 10% fewer.
Start with the fact that 39 states already have purged 13 million voters off the voters' rolls since 2004.
Yes, you heard that right. At least 13 million voters have been purged from the rolls since 2004. That's 10% of the 120 million votes cast in 2004 and twice as many voters than have just been added through massive registration drives.
In many states, the number of names dropped from the voters' lists has been breathtaking: 17% in Colorado, 15% in Washington State, 14% in New York, 13% in Nevada, 10% in Missouri.
