Harrison Reality Check
Always slow off the mark, I didn't tune in to MSNBC News until Rachel Maddow migrated from the now moribund Air America. Since then they have added the host Ratigan, who is all over the boards seeking direction. Newcomer Ed Shultz has found a niche tartly reporting on the mentally challenged who make up vile stories about health care reformers.
Keith Olberman hit nerves at FOX when he exposed their advertisers. After FOX vilified NBC for allowing Progressive views to be forwarded, the parent company told Keith to cool his rhetoric. After a Palestinian-style cease fire, Bill O'Reilly came back with all guns blazing.
With Keith muzzled, NBC strives to wreck its other liberal star Rachel Maddow. They have scheduled her for "Meet the Press" to debate health care with three Republican Neanderthals. I had no doubts she would win in a walk until I realized David Gregory would be host. The man sucks up to authority like a puppy dog in heat. Broadcast pros who moderate can twist any discussion guest into a pretzel.
Apparently, NBC prepares to go into the tank rather than battling the Republican Smear Machine.
It will be interesting how NBC handles the aspiring conservative politicos Morning Joe Scarborough and Chris Mathews. Joe often quotes [but doesn't understand] the philosopher Edmund Burke. He avoids talking about Burke around scholars such as Ron Paul and Z. Brzezinski. Chris Mathews avoids discussion by talking over his guests. Both would make excellent talkers for FOX.
Disgruntled Progressive viewers have an alternate forum with the new website goharrison.com.
