Anyone wanting to know more about Sanders would do well to check both his own words and his voting record, which speak for themselves and, imo, take precedence over others talking for him.

The purpose of this project is twofold: 1) to make more
people aware of Bernie Sanders; 2) to show (hopefully resounding!) support for
him; 3) to get him through the primaries with flying colors.
Given the varied, often turbulent state of affairs
regarding primaries from state to state and even year to year, I recommended
that you call your state voter registration office to find out when your
primaries are and what you need to do to vote in them (some states want you
registered in the party in question, others don't care; and even this may vary
with the particular party, in Bernie's case Democratic). I also suggest marking your calendar or at
least keeping a close eye on when your state's primaries are.
