Psy Ops Inc.
"Democracy" and "freedom" are two over-used words that belong to the domain of Psychological Operations (Psy Ops) Inc. Likewise for the phrase "War On Terror". The psychological impacts of these abstractions are very powerful even as their literal meanings have been totally corrupted.
As target countries are demonized, and illegal foreign invasions are launched, these words are manipulated to deliver their opposites: the destruction of democratic self-determination, the destruction of freedom, and the exponential growth of terrorism.
CIA works with subsidiaries of USAID to destabilize target countries.

Recent historical context -- invasions of Libya and Iraq for example -- informs us that the real reason for invading and destroying Syria is to prevent it from nationalising its own resources and becoming a free, self-determining, and prosperous country.
Destruction of the country will also reduce the perceived threats that it might pose to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- all US allies. Activist-Journalist Maram Susli describes the details of these objectives in "US Destroying Syria's Oil Infrastructure Under Guise of Fighting ISIS."
The US is using time-tested strategies to achieve its nefarious goals. To advance its imperialist agenda, it is funding, arming, and organizing proxies such as al-Qaeda/al-Nursra Front, and ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh -- the same terrorists that it identifies as enemies.
Saudi Arabia, an important US ally, is likely the most significant funder of foreign-backed extremists in Syria, while Qatar, another ally, is complicit as well. A leaked diplomatic cable reveals this:
"Saudi donors remain the chief financiers of Sunni militant groups like Al Qaeda, and the tiny Persian Gulf state of Qatar, a generous host to the American military for years, was the 'worst in the region' in counterterrorism efforts, according to a State Department cable last December. Qatar's security service was 'hesitant to act against known terrorists out of concern for appearing to be aligned with the U.S. and provoking reprisals.'"
Not surprisingly, Israel also has links to Syrian "rebels". According to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDORF), there are "regular contacts held on the border between IDF officers and soldiers and Syrian rebels." Observers also remarked (that) "they identified IDF soldiers on the Israeli side handing over two boxes to armed Syrian opposition members on the Syrian side."
Turkey, another ally, is also said to be a significant supporter of foreign-backed extremists in Syria. A Press TV article entitled "UK Pledges 'significant' support For Syrian Militants" lists Turkey (as well as Qatar and Saudi Arabia) "as supporting the militants in the Arab country."
Meanwhile, according to the United Nations Office for Human Rights, more than 191,000 people have been killed in the Syrian war.
It is increasingly clear, then, that this tragic war is generating and empowering terrorism, and that the West is the "driver" that is perpetuating the tragedy.
Increased terrorism and the balkanization of the Middle East may well be goals of western military planners, but these goals certainly do not align with the public interests of citizens throughout the world. Such outcomes are the antithesis to the implied outcomes of the "War On Terror". Not only is the "War On Terror" creating more terrorism, but it is also delivering less "democracy" and less "freedom".
A first step in halting the madness is an increased awareness that we are being manipulated by agencies of Psychological Operations Inc. and that words such as "democracy" and "freedom" along with phrases such as "War On Terror" are being corrupted to serve a darker agenda of death and destruction.
