In a hopefully obvious play on words, most of the population at least, those who watch medical or hospital shows on network TV know the Hippocratic Oath, taken by doctors: First, do no harm.
The Republicans, as the most incredible Hypocrites, indeed have their own oath: First, Do Harm!
Continuing to present the Big Lies to the American Public, they are now, through the unethical personage of Mitch McConnell and the inventors of the "death panel myth," are trying to smear the President's Wall Street Reform as a "bailout."
Among the Big Lies McConnell is telling the public is how the economic problems have been caused by the Democrats, by President Obama. How short his memory is! McConnell seems to forget that George W. Bush inherited the largest surplus in the history of the United States, left to him by Bill Clinton.
In addition, how George W. Bush turned that into the largest deficit in the history of our country!
The Republicans have finally surpassed the Nazis in their use of the Big Lie. Amazing, how these so-called patriots have turned against their own country and their own fellow citizens and women. Their only concern is how to cause disruption for the Obama Administration.
Look how they put Sarah "I can see Russia from here" Palin up on a podium, hoping to distract the country from her own brand of harm to our country, using her "drill baby drill" approach to the USA. The problem with Palin and the Tea Partiers and the Republicans is that they no longer even know what the truth is. They are like a line of lemmings, all following the same step, even though that step will take them off a cliff.
In an email newsletter from a Democratic group, they said and I quote them this:
"Democrats are working to pass a bill to hold big banks accountable, protect consumers from dishonest lenders, and put an end to taxpayer-funded bailouts forever.
However, those facts don't seem to matter for Republicans. In interviews, on TV, and even on the floor of the Senate, GOP leaders keep repeating the same "reform is a bailout" falsehood. They're promising to oppose or water down legislation, while Wall Street lobbyists scurry around Capitol Hill, trying to carve out new loopholes and exemptions.
We learned from the health reform fight that we can overcome even the fiercest efforts by Republicans and their special-interest allies -- but only if we push back early, stand strong, and have the resources needed to fight."
Taken from the Bible, but paraphrased to fit this article, comes our call to action: If not you, who? If not now, when? It is simple. Do not take the Republicans' Party Line of lies for granted. Also, do your fact checking carefully. Find out what the truth really is. Be true to your United States, by removing the Big Liars from office in your next elections. Put people in office who tell you the truth, who don't mislead, who have your best interests at heart.
An example is plainly seen in New Jersey: they elected a former United States Attorney a prosecutor, and a Republican to replace Jon Corzine. The new Governor has not been in office for six months yet, and he has managed to upset most people who live in New Jersey. He has brought back the "W" approach to taxation, by giving those who earn more than $400,000 a year all the benefits, and raising the taxes and reducing the benefits of those who earn much less. Indeed, the complete opposite of what Jon Corzine had planned. Corzine's flaws were that he tried to do things to help those who did not earn a fortune, and tried to get those who did earn a lot of money to pay their fair share of the costs to run the state. The new governor has turned it all around. He has managed to upset most every separate group he could, by giving to the rich, and taking from the poor. Robin Hood he is not!
The questions refer to how we, as True Americans, must stop the lying, the fear mongering, the lack of ethics and integrity, and the incredible (Big Lie) dishonesty, which emanates from the Republican Party and their leaders. Even our "hero," John McCain, has fallen in line with the rest of the Right-Wingers, by repeating the Big Lies.
It is simply amazing how many of my fellow Americans are taking the Big Lies as truth.
