The U.S. Government is in the death grip of concentrated corporate power. We can shift the power to the people only if we unite. Giant corporate business interests are destroying our social fabric and our democracy.
Break Up the Big Corporate Banks: Ten huge banks now control 60% of the economy. This concentration of economic power also results in dominance of the political system. As Senator Durbin said: "They own the place." It is time for the people to take back ownership of government and politics and it begins with breaking up the big banks. Pay Fair Share of Taxes: Big corporate banks are not paying taxes, after receiving hundreds of billions in tax payer bailouts. The nation's largest bank, Bank of America with $2.2 billion in assets has not paid taxes in two years, instead it is seeking more than a $1 billion refund. Citigroup, who received $476 billion in the bailout has not paid taxes in four years. You pay taxes, so should America's wealthiest banks. Close your account at Bank of America.
