There will not be enough green middle class jobs to sustain our economy. The Obama team has created some shovel ready, low level jobs much of which are temporary hoping industry will hire again, hoping banks will loan again.

The fortune spent extending unemployment payments and creating short term shovel ready jobs and pouring millions into saving teacher and police, fire jobs is the worng approach, but Obama's mindset seems to think otherwise. There is no light at the end of Obama's stimulus tunnel and the Republicans have even less a clue.

Just about every other country protects its economy with a semi-free-trade posture, but we do not have to fortitude to do the same for our own citizens. No guts, no glory, no middle income jobs, no economy growth.

I am not proposing anything new. But I believe it these ideas have the most merit:

By executive order, all goods that are to be sold for over $150 in the United States must be: 1. assembled in the U.S. effective within 6 months. 2. After 1 1/2 years, 75% of the parts must be manufactured in the U.S. 3. All R&D for these products must be accomplished by U.S. citizens. 4. All support services such as Technical Support, Sales, Customer service, must be based in the U.S. during 8 AM Eastern time to 7 PM Pacific Time. 5. Taxes on profits must be paid regardless of who owns thecompany. 6. All jobs and functions below the CEO level must be accomplished by U.S. citizens.

By doing this, we are still allowing free trade for items that are less costly, but are developing jobs for the middle class as well as entry level, maintenance, assembly and associated "shovel ready" type services.

We will see the tax base increase so teacher and police, etc. jobs will not be impacted, the housing market will increase, products will cost somewhat more but there will be offsetting competition.
