Exercising Passive Resistance

By       (Page 1 of 1 pages)   3 comments

I recently met someone who helped me change the way I see the world; they gave me a glimpse of the matrix.  They spoke about international bankers controlling the money supply, and the mainstream media brainwashing the masses.  At first I had difficulty grasping the ideas he was presenting. I didn’t want to believe that what he was telling me could be true; it went against everything I thought I knew about the world.

Following our discussion I started to study various topics he had mentioned.  My paradigm began to shift, I learned that it is not our government that is calling the shots; it is the international bankers, Big Pharma, and Big Farmer. I was shocked and dismayed to discover that I had been deceived by the mainstream media for 23 years of my life.  I felt powerless, I wanted to create change, but had no idea where to start. Every film I had watched had shown me what is wrong with the world but provided me with little or no idea of how to create a solution.

I spent months feeling furious and helpless, thinking maybe a violent uprising was the only strategy that would achieve revolution.  But violence is a very destructive way to promote change; I wanted to find a constructive non violent solution. Passive resistance seemed to be the only effective answer. I thought of Gandhi and wondered how I could use his example as inspiration for a passive resistance movement.  Then I had a revelation - each person can effectively remove power from the Big Banks, Big Pharma and Big Farmer by working outside the dominant system – buy organic food, support small business, look after your health, focus on disease prevention, place your money with a small bank, avoid getting loans or credit cards, grow your own food, trade with your neighbours.

Each and every one of us has the power to reject the current system, and build a new, more sustainable system from the ground up.  I believe that grass roots movements are the most effective, because each individual has worked hard to achieve a better life, and will continue working hard to keep that life.  I believe that we must create the change we want to see, starting with ourselves.  We cannot wait for our governments to create change; they will continue to work within this system as long as it exists.

I am passionately advocating passive resistance using the methods above to everyone I know.  My next step is figuring out how I can bring my message to a larger audience, I am hoping inspire others to change the world, starting with changing their lives – please post any suggestions.

I am 23 years old and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I value passion, challenge and adventure. I believe that each individual has the power and the responsibility to be the change that they want to see in the world.
