Egypt Bloodbath as Military Solidifies Coup

The situation in Egypt is grim. Over 200 pro-Morsi protesters have been killed, with blood running in the streets. Al Ahram reports f our journalists have been killed, others injured, beaten and detained in Cairo clashes.
The Egyptian military, directed by  Gen. Abdul-Fattah el-Sisi,  has appointed 19 generals as provincial governors, with civilian governors mostly being Mubarak loyalists. This is raising great concerns that Egypt could go backwards to a time of authoritarianism as existed under Mubarak. Al Ahram also reports that pro-Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood supporters attacked over 20 police stations and dozens Christian buildings and locales. The Egyptian news site also reported that eight Muslim Brotherhood leaders have been taken into custody,  including leaders Mohamed El-Beltagy, Essam El-Erian and Islamic preacher Safwat Hegazy.
