Do we vote for Marco Rubio, when he exhibits behaviors reminiscent of a drunken "frat boy" who hasn't learned that there is actually life outside his narrow view of things? Should Mr. "I'm the most conservative person in the field" Cruz, who makes his living voicing positions that would make Joe McCarthy proud, be the champion of the party? Does "The Donald" have any core positions on anything? Should we vote for a self described socialist who openly advocates forced redistribution of wealth? Is Hillary Clinton, a 25 year insider with numerous political enemies, the person who can break the gridlock in Washington? The answer to this multiple choice question is, "E. None of the above."

Rubio is immature and seemingly incapable of independent thought. Cruz is out of touch with a rapidly changing demographic. Trump is a cartoonish fop. When imagining any of the three serving in the capacity of president, does the word "statesman" come to mind? Do any of them seem capable of rising to the challenges facing our nation right now? The answer is no. It's obvious.

Barbara Bush, G.W. Bush, Jeb Bush, and Mitt Romney were run out to the stage in succession to convince us all of how bad Trump would be for the country. To that conclusion, one must agree. He's a joke in the context of the presidency. Sadly, no one else seems more capable. Even John Kasich struggles to show relevance.

It's time for America to demand better from our elected or soon to be elected officials. We must. For ourselves, for our children's futures, and for the future of our country, we must be engaged, informed, and motivated to make better choices.
