A recent dream takes me back to pre-retirement. At that time, I worked as a counselor helping families with children who were at-risk for out-of-home placement, be that in the mental health system with adults diagnosed with a mental illness, children's probation, or Department of Human Services (Child Protective Services).
In the dream, I was working with a family whose child is in trouble with the legal system. As I worked with this girl, and her family, I said to myself, "Wait a minute! This child is a spitting image of her parents and the culture!"
The criminality of this child is a mirror to the criminality of the whole. That is the message to the dream. I knew that when I was a counselor. That insight is the foundation of my life. The children I worked with that were at-risk for detention centers were spitting images of the dominant culture that envelops and worships corporations and their underling government. The kind of greed and self-centered mindset this child displayed reflects perfectly the MO of major corporations.
So what was Wisdom's purpose in re-creating this dream and speaking to what I already knew?
This article, perhaps?
The message fits David Bohm's, F. David Peat's and Karl Pribram's idea of a holographic universe. The holographic universe in essence speaks to the mirroring of the part to the whole.
For example, consider your circulatory system composed of veins and arteries. These are exact replicas of the river tributaries leading to the Sea. Interestingly, the Sea's waters are evaporated and fall onto the land. It then feeds crops, animals and river systems, which then supports us in living while also helping to maintain the carbon dioxide and oxygen mix of the Earth.
The holographic idea is nothing new. It's spoken of throughout the ancient world as reflected in Genesis 1:27 that states we "are created in the image of God, male and female created He them." This line was probably written during the time that God as verb was very much pervasive in tribal cultures.
