Yesterday Donald Trump gave his annual speech to the United Nations. His speech had many false and hypocritical statements in it. One glaring hypocrisy was the topic of sovereignty of nations.

In his speech Trump said, "Around the world, responsible nations must defend against threats to sovereignty not just from global governance, but also from other, new forms of coercion and domination."

This statement ignores a claim made by Trump's primary concern, the Jewish state of Israel.

On August 7, 2018 an official statement from the Israeli government regarding its theft of land from Palestinian people in the Palestinian West Bank and Palestinian East Jerusalem stated, "The Knesset has no limitation which prevents it from legislating extra-territorially anywhere in the world, including the area ['Judea and Samaria']' (the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament based Jewish state of Israel refers to the Palestinian West Bank by its Biblical name of Judea and Samaria).

The statement by the Israeli government went on to say, "Although the Knesset can legislate [concerning] any place in the world, although it is entitled to violate the sovereignty of foreign countries through legislation that would be applied to events occurring in their territories ["], although it is within the authority of the Government of Israel to annex any territory ["], although the Knesset may ignore directives of international law in any area it pleases ["] despite all these, the plaintiffs seek to define a 'rule' by which precisely in Judea and Samaria the Knesset is prohibited from legislating anything, and that precisely there, and nowhere else in the world, it is subject to the directives of international law."

This flies in the face of Donald Trump's statements in his United Nations speech declaring the importance of national sovereignty for nations around the world. This religious based arrogant statement made by the Israeli government, if submitted to by the Gentile nations of the world, would mean only the Jewish state of Israel is a sovereign nation.

Israel as the only sovereign nation on planet Earth is what Israel's basis for existing, the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, promotes.

Deuteronomy 28:1 claims God told the ancient Jews and Israel, "the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth" and Deuteronomy 28:10 claims God said, "And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee."

It is clear that Donald Trump is afraid of Israel, the Israel lobby and one of the Jewish state's most powerful promoters, Sheldon Adelson. This is evident by Trump's statements at the start of his presidential campaign regarding Israel and Palestine. He said the US should be neutral in regards to the Israelis and Palestinians. Then, after meeting with Adelson, Trump was firmly in the Israel-over-all camp and started making statements that the Palestinians didn't really want peace and he stopped his negative statements regarding Israel's expanding illegal Jewish settlements on Palestinian land. He then officially recognized occupied Jerusalem as Israel's capital and moved the US embassy to Jerusalem.

Sheldon Adelson gives more money to politicians who promise to put Israel, and not America, first than anyone else. In the last few months Adelson and his wife Miriam have given $55 million to Republican politicians for the upcoming mid-term elections. This makes the Adelsons the "biggest spenders on federal elections in all of American politics."

Couple the millions of dollars coming from Israel-first political donors like Adelson with millions of Christians who believe it is their Christian Bible-based duty to do all they can to promote the Jewish state of Israel, and you have a very powerful force working towards putting the Jewish state of Israel "on high above all nations of the Earth."

The best way to counter this disastrous danger to the world is by educating the Christians who hold this Bible-based belief regarding the supremacy of Israel to the fact that the Bible is not the Word of God and that The Supreme Intelligence/God gave us reason and not religion. Thomas Paine did a great job of pointing this out when he wrote in The Age of Reason, "I believe it is only in the CREATION that all our ideas and conceptions of a Word of God can unite. The Creation speaks a universal language, independently of human speech or human language, multiplied and various as they may be. It is an ever existing original, which every man can read. It cannot be forged; it cannot be counterfeited; it cannot be lost; it cannot be altered; it cannot be suppressed. It does not depend upon the will of man whether it shall be published or not; it publishes itself from one end of the earth to the other. It preaches to all nations and to all worlds; and this Word of God reveals to man all that is necessary for man to know of God.''
