Is CNN helping McCain Palin sell a sham investigation?
Palin is still refusing to testify before the bipartisan committee she has been subpoenaed to appear before to discuss her role in "troopergate."
But she's set up her own investigation, with her own investigator. How cozy. CNN has a nice big headline announcing it,
Palin 'ready to cooperate' in firing probe, lawyer says
Looks like a spin sale to me. Josh Marshall twittered "CNN punk'd on Palin probe?" and calls the investigation CNN reports, on his Talkingpointsmemo, "the sham one she set up after McCain helped her shut down the real one."
Anyone smell turblossom at work here? Sure seems Rove's kind of machinations to me.
